FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL WHITE

Parents and Guardians,
It’s hard to believe we’re already in April and have wrapped up the third quarter. March was a busy and exciting month here at Apollo.
Our spring sports season is fully underway softball kicked things off with the Cool Nights Tournament, baseball hosted the Coach Bob Tournament, and our boys volleyball team is competing strong mid-season. Track and field and tennis are up and running, and we also enjoyed outstanding choir and band concerts to close out the quarter.
Our performance dance group had an incredible trip to Chicago, and we celebrated together at our Spring Sports Assembly as Apollo earned the A+ Award from the Arizona Educational Foundation. It was a great moment of pride for our students, topped off with a well-deserved ice cream celebration. We’ll close out March with students participating in the district dance show and awards on March 31.
As we move into April, state testing begins March 31 with a modified schedule. We will also have another modified schedule on April 7 as testing continues. Please review the emails I’ve sent and check our website for full details.
Also in April, we’re offering TOPS free physicals for next school year. This is a great opportunity for any student considering athletics. These are comprehensive physicals at no cost to our families and valid for the entire year. I strongly encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity.
As we head into the final stretch of the school year, this is the time to stay focused. Attendance matters. Being on time matters. Staying on top of grades matters. We want every student finishing strong and proud of what they’ve accomplished.
Looking ahead, the last Wednesday morning Learning Centers will be at the end of April. Beginning in May, school will start at 8:00 a.m. every day and end at 2:35 p.m. After-school Learning Centers will still be available, but Wednesday mornings will shift to 7:30 a.m. We are just about two months away from closing out the 2025–2026 school year. Let’s make it count.
I will continue sending updates for students involved in state testing. Please be on the lookout, and as always, if you have questions, reach out to me or anyone here at the school.
Please continue to encourage your student to stay focused, stay engaged, and finish the year strong. If your student needs support, don’t hesitate to contact a counselor, teacher, or administrator we’re here to help every step of the way.
