Every year, the faculty and staff chooses Achievement Above All recipients, our district's award for those who have gone above and beyond in their category.  Congratulations to this year's winners!

AAA Student is senior Tammy Vu.  Tammy has earned a 4.89 weighted GPA and is highly involved at Apollo, including singing in choir, as a DECA  member, and acting in the school's musical.  She accomplishes all of this while holding down a part time job.  She plans to attend either ASU or U of A next year.

AAA teacher is science teacher Lindsay Walls.  In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Wall is the STUCO sponsor.  This is her fourth year at Apollo, and she has obviously made a huge impact.  "I am humbled to receive this award," said Mrs. Walls.  "I know that so many of my colleagues work very hard to make our community great, so to be voted by them is an honor. It's what I have wanted since I started with the district," said Coach Groat. "I just want to thank my maintenance and custodial crew for working hard to make this campus look great and I want to thank Mark Hebert for training me and always having my back. "

AAA Group this year is Hospitality.  Lead by hospitality teacher Kristi Clarke, this group of around 35 students has been scooping up awards left and right in competitions.  "Receiving this award is so exciting for our Hospitality chapter," said Ms. Clarke. "The students in the past and with us today have worked so hard to make a name and presence on this campus. Looking at their growth and work ethic throughout the year reminds me why I spend countless hours carving out a space for them in this industry for the future."
