Key Club completes service project

After the tragic event that took place in El Paso, Texas this summer, two elementary school teachers in that community went to work only to find their students filled with fear and concern in relation to the shooting. They stated, "as teachers, we may only be able to say so much" and reached out to the world for help in calming the fears. The request from these teachers was to send their students cards of support and positive messages to help them know that there was still kindness and good people in the world. Apollo Key Club responded to that request for help by hand making cards with various positive messages and inspirational quotes on them.

In conjunction with this project, Key Club also participated in the #ElPasoChallenge (started by 11 year old Ruben Martinez) which honored the 22 victims who lost their lives by doing 22 acts of kindness.
