NJROTC completes busy Spring Break

Apollo NJROTC had a HUGE spring break.

The first Saturday and Sunday, they scanned tickets at the NASCAR race.  The two groups had a great time, got to see the race, and raised $700 bucks for the unit.  18 cadets were involved.

Then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, they conducted Civilian Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.  Some Firefighters came out (one was an Apollo grad, class of 2000) and the cadets got to learn First Aid, fire fighting, lifting heavy objects off of people, and evacuation techniques.  16 Cadets were involved.

Thursday, Color Guard practiced to get ready for a drill tournament coming up.

Then Friday and Saturday, they were off to a camping trip at the White Tanks park.  20 cadets came, and all had a great time.
