State testing is done, so thanks to all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors for taking the Aspire, Pre-ACT, and ACT tests in early April. Juniors, check your email for your scores from the College Board.District assessments are coming up in the last 4 weeks of school. Make sure to prepare and attend school regularly, as attendance is key to success.I'll send another update in May, but here's a heads-up:
Summer school info will be out soon. Check our Facebook page and communications from counselors. Summer school is free, starts in June, runs 4 days a week, and ends by July 1st.Spring sports are winding down with only 2 weeks left until state playoffs. Baseball, volleyball, and track teams are doing well. Come support our athletes! Performing Arts will have concerts and shows in early May. Choir, band, and dance performances are coming up, so get your tickets early. Thanks to everyone who came to the spring musical—it was amazing! Congrats to our theater students and Mr. Herrington.
As we wrap up the school year, remember Teacher Appreciation Week is in early May. Show your teachers some love, even if it's just a thank-you note. Attendance is still important, so make sure students are not missing school and arriving on time.
Construction has started on campus, and we will be updating the locker rooms from the 1970s that will be ready for next school year. Graduation is on May 19th at Desert Diamond Arena at 10:00 a.m. We'll have an asynchronous school day, followed by 2 days of finals. The last day of school is May 21st.
