Career and Technical Education classes provide Apollo students with a wide variety of career readiness skills. From hospitality to culinary to photography skills, most Hawks will find something at Apollo that will interest them and get them ready for the future.
For example, marketing students learn to operate a school store, POS cashiering system, perform inventory control, and pricing strategies. In the 4-year program, students also build their resumes by attending business conferences, state and national competitions, earning industry recognized credentials from the National Retail Federation, Dual College Credits, and by participating in school to work field hour experiences at jobsites.
Students leave high school with the skills to enter the workforce, work through college, and start careers. Apollo DECA produces business students that win medals and scholarships at the district, state, and national level. DECA competes in retail merchandising, entrepreneurship, sports marketing, travel and tourism, food marketing, hotel management, virtual business, human resources, accounting, and many more content areas.
