Brenay Jankans, Alicia Tamayo, and Grace Jackson competed at Nationals for FCCLA to represent the state of Arizona by competing in Entrepreneurship and Sports Nutrition. They headed to San Diego, California for the week of the 4th of July with hundreds of other students in FACS education classes cross the nation.
Grace and Alicia won bronze in Entrepreneurship, where they created a business, and presented their ideas and budget in hopes to get funded for their business plan. Brenay won gold and topped the nation as number one in the Sports Nutrition competition, where she created a meal and fitness plan for an athlete.
The last school year has been extremely successful for the Hospitality and Tourism program, ending it with another Program of Distinction award given by Sullivan University.
