Susan Prado-Ortiz has been teaching at Apollo since 1989 and been teaching in the G.U.H.S.D since 1985. She is the Department Chair for the Physical Education Department. She is the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach, Varsity Softball Coach and the Frosh Volleyball Coach.  Prado-Ortiz has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University. She is married to Frank with four children.
