Close Up Information 2008/2009

What:  Close Up is a national program for high school students who wish to become involved in their government.  During the weeklong program, students study in Washington while touring the various monuments and sites.  The Close Up Foundation has been operating for 32 years and is one of the best and well-organized Washington study organizations.

More What:  A fun, action-packed week in Washington D.c. learning about the government.  You will also meet some great people who may become friends for life!  You will love it!

Trip Dates:  Sunday March 8^th-Saturday March 14^th

Price:  Cost is approximately $2068 per student (Airfare = $ at the highest $500 Tuition = $1568)

Included:  The fee covers everything except souvenirs and additional food.  The following items are included:  three meals per day, six nights of lodging, all tips and gratuities, round-the-clock emergency nursing consultation,  all scheduled sightseeing fees, all excursion fees, a farewell banquet, and all program materials.  Round trip airfare is also included.

Extra Money:  Spy Museum ($16) Holocaust Museum ($2) Weekend Metro Pass ($20) Sunday March 8^th lunch and dinner ($20) Souvenirs ($?) Extra food outside what is provided ($?)

Deposit:  Your deposit of at least $150 is due by Friday September 12^th and $150 is due on Friday September 26^th.  Final payments in full are due on or before Friday February 13th, 2008.  Students will register via computer in the computer lab with Mrs. Grader and Ms. Williamson on a selected date. If payment is not made in full student will not be permitted to attend the trip!!
