Jennifer Rice has been teaching and coaching in the Glendale Union HS district since 1997.   To this date, she has taught Introduction to Business, Keyboarding, Business Computer Applications, Multimedia Computer Applications, Business Law, Marketing and Business Fundamentals.  She is an active member of the GUEA, serves as a local site leader, and PLC Leader for the business department. Rice also sponsors a DECA club on campus which is open to business, marketing, and advanced marketing students.  Students attend leadership activities, volunteer for charity fundraising events, work in the school store, participate in educational field trips, and compete against other DECA chapters throughout the state. This year, Rice's students attended the Fall Leadership Conference, Western Area Competition at ASU-West, and the state-level competitive Career Development Conference.  The Hawks are very active and successful in DECA, earning several medals at the regional competition, and one bronze medal at the state level. Ms. Rice has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from ASU West,  Secondary Education degree, CTE Business and Marketing endorsements, and Cooperative education certification.  Her experience includes 10 years of retail, management, and sales practice at what is now Kroger Inc.
