Per. 1 Thinking Science Per. 2 Prep Per. 3 Thinking Science Per. 4 Lunch Per. 5 Thinking Science Per. 6 ELL 1-2 Per. 7 ELL 1-2 Hilary McCarthy has been teaching at Apollo High School since 2005. For the past four years he has been teaching Thinking Science and Accelerated Thinking Science as well as coaching cross country. This year McCarthy will be teaching ELL English 1-2 as well as Thinking Science. Before teaching at Apollo, he taught US History, Civics, and Language Arts for 8 years at Jeddito School on the Navajo Reservation. McCarthy also sponsored Student Council, 8th Grade Club, coached cross country, as well as helped create the Language Arts curriculum for the district. McCarthy has a bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Earth Science from Northern Arizona University, and is certified in secondary education. He also has an ESL endorsement with American Sign Language as his second language.
