Spanish 3-4 is a course designed to strengthen and build upon the skills acquired in Spanish 1-2. This year students will continue to learn Spanish through TPRS —Total Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling. This is a natural language acquisition of learning. We will be using TPRS in conjunction with the textbook and supplementary materials. The language learned by this method is in the student’s long-term memory. The student must be in class to learn the language through listening, dramatization and reading. Students’ participation is expected to be constant and consistent to ensure their success. There is no way to “make up” such class work. If the student’s goal is to learn to speak Spanish, attendance is critical for success.
