Derrick Jefferson has been teaching at Apollo since 2007.  He earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Phoenix in Tucson after serving in the United States Army.  He then moved to Phoenix in 2006 to attend Arizona State University where he obtained a master's degree in education. 

Mr. Jefferson taught Business Fundamentals during the 2007-2008 school year, and this year is a member of the Small Learning Community "Hawk Academy".  His extracurricular activities include; Football: Freshman linebackers and runningbacks coach, Track: Shot put and discus coach, and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Sponsor.
