On Thursday, October 6, Apollo High School hosted 16 minor league Los Angeles Dodgers players. The players are 16-19 years old and come from Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Colombia.
Apollo upperclassmen acted as hosts to the young men and assisted them as they navigated the daily life of an American high school student. Core classes and electives alike were highlighted throughout the day. The Apollo High School community benefited greatly from the cultural exchange and the opportunity to learn about the players’ home countries first hand.
