The Mathematics Department at Apollo understands the importance of assigning relevant practice to ensure the success of students as they complete 4 years of mathematics. Assignments and practice are carefully aligned to the state standards.

In addition to Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Statistics, Personal Finance, AHS offers 3 dual credit classes: College Algebra, Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus. Apollo also offers three honors classes: Honors Algebra 1/Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. Included in the curriculum is a math lab for student who need extra support at the freshman level.

Department teachers provide many opportunities for students to be successful in mathematics. Extra help is available before and after school in classrooms as well as in the SOAR Center (room 806).

The Math Dept. is currently preparing lessons, assignments, and activities that align with Common Core state standards.
