     I served 5 years in the US Army in Field Artillery and was stationed at Ft. Sill, OK. After I returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, I moved to Arizona to attend college. I decided to attend Scottsdale Culinary Institute Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale, Az  and graduated in 2007. I started my cooking career at The Phoenician Resort and worked in The Terrace and was promoted to Mary Elaine's, the resort's signature restaurant. After a year with the resort, I decided to work for Hilton at The Pointe Tapatio Cliffs and became their Sous Chef for A Different Point of View restaurant. Other notable restaurants I've worked was also Michael's Catering and Lucs Restaurant in El Padregal.
Prior to teaching here at Apollo High School, I managed the culinary program at Sur la Table in Scottsdale, Az where I manage the cooking classes, promoted the cooking program and was able to cook for many Nationally known chefs such as Thomas Keller, Giada De Laurentiis, and Bobby Flay. I was also a guest chef for abc15 Sonoran Living for 2 1/2 years.
